Two highly popular international conference and expo events will again be close-coupled in 2014, according to event hosts Wood Bioenergy and Panel World magazines. And again both events will be held at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
The Bioenergy Fuels & Products Conference & Expo will be held March 18-19, 2014, and will be immediately followed by the Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo (PELICE) on March 20-21, 2014.
“Many of the attendees and exhibitors participate in both events, and our post-event surveys continue to tell us that they really like the close-coupled setup and that they continue to like the Omni Hotel in Atlanta as the site,” according to events Co-Chairman Rich Donnell, who is the editor-in-chief of both Wood Bioenergy and Panel World magazines.
The Bioenergy Conference & Expo attracted 400 participants at the 2012 event, which featured 45 speakers and 75 exhibitors from the wood pellet, biomass power, biofuels and woody biomass feedstock and processing sectors. PELICE drew more than 300 participates, including representatives from 25 wood products producer companies in the structural and non-structural wood products sectors, and featured 50 speakers and 65 exhibitor companies.
“One of the key findings in our surveys from both events is that nearly 100% of attendees who took the survey said they found some piece of information or technology during the event that they felt could be useful in their operation,” Donnell said. “That’s really what it’s all about.”
Donnell added that numerous attendees to the Bioenergy event like its total focus on “wood” bioenergy.
Donnell said the web sites for both events will be upgraded in the near future. The conference agendas for 2014 will soon begin to take focus. Meanwhile, Co-Chairman Fred Kurpiel of Georgia Research Institute will take the lead in exhibitor sponsorship sales.
