Bioenergy Expo 2012 in Atlanta, Ga
Posted by BioEnergyShow on Jan 18, 2011 in Blog | 1 commentThe second Bioenergy, Fuels & Products Conference & Expo will be held February 28-29, 2012 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The first event, held early in 2010, was also at the Omni Hotel, but we are now expanding the program and have secured the Grand Ballroom North in the Omni as the location for the 2012 event, providing more spacious and adjacent exhibitor and meeting facilities, as well as improved conference audio and visual logistics.
Conference will feature moderators and speakers who will address a range of topics including raw materials, product and market developments and bio-process technologies. A schedule of topics and times will be available soon.
One-hundred percent of the attendees who completed a post-show survey in 2010 reported they found some aspect or technology in the conference presentations and exhibits that might be useful to their business.
The Bioenergy event immediately precedes the Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo, which will be held March 1-2, 2012 also in the Grand Ballroom North of the Omni Hotel. Both events are supported by Panel World magazine, Wood Bioenergy magazine and Georgia Research Institute.

Dear Sirs:
I am interested in presenting a paper at your upcoming bioenergy conference in Atlanta, and request information on abstract guidelines and submittal schedules.
As currently conceived, my paper will discuss the economic benefits to be realized by incorporating plentifully available “unmerchantable” timber and “underharvested” pulpwood into plant fuel blends. Use of these feedstocks as biofuel has been discouraged by government policies that limit the definition of “qualified” biofuel to logging and mill residues. For many biopower projects the procurement of abundant, nearby supplies of “unmerchantable” timber and “underharvested” pulpwood is a significant advantage, both in reduced cost and security of fuel supply.
I am well qualified to discuss the topic above. I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1973 and am a registered PE in Georgia. As Manager of Projects for The Parton Group (please refer to our website link given above), I am responsible for the management and control of all Client consulting assignments. Additionally I am responsible for all project design and construction Client Representative assignments.
My professional engineering experience includes direct involvement in the project management, planning, design, field engineering, and performance testing of a variety of renewable energy projects. These services typically included a comprehensive review of the construction, process technology, environmental, logistical and infrastructure issues characterizing the project financial pro-forma.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Sincerely, Bob Synk
